Updated Apple MacBook Air and Mac Studio Models Now Available

Apple’s newly revamped MacBook Air and Mac Studio are now available for purchase, with both models boosting faster processing speeds, and a few new features.

The new MacBook Air model can now support an M4 processor and display sizes at 13” and 15”. Perhaps the most exciting update is that it can now run dual external displays with up to 6K resolutions. Other tweaks include a new color option, “sky blue,” an improved built-in 12 megapixel camera, and a lower price point for the most inexpensive configuration ($999 versus $1099).

The updated Mac Studio now supports M4 Max and M3 Ultra configurations. For post-production applications, the M3 Ultra may surprisingly be the best move according to benchmarks. Other new features include Thunderbolt 5 ports for higher data transfer speeds, up to 8 TB of SSD storage and 128 GB of unified memory for M4 Max, and up to 16TB of SSD storage and up to 512 GB of RAM for the M3 Ultra. The lowest price point for the Mac Studio M4 Max is $1999, and $3999 for the M3 Ultra.

The updated Studio and MacBook come on the heels of a similar performance bump to M3 chips for the iPad Air. All models are currently available for order.
