In addition to major pro hardware announcements at WWDC, Apple also introduced the next generation of its macOS operating system. Dubbed ‘Catalina’, macOS 10.15 features iPad app support, a new native Sidecar app to connect your iPad as a display or input tablet to your Mac system, voice control, and the retirement of the long-running iTunes app.

Speaking at the Apple Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC), Apple CEO Tim Cook and head of hardware John Ternus debuted the long-awaited new Mac Pro, bringing Apple roaring back into the high-performance professional market.

Apple expanded CPU options for both the 13- and 15-inch models of its MacBook Pro laptops, the second update since their initial release in July 2018. Apple also has made improvements to its butterfly keyboards that have seen some widely-publicized hardware failures since launch.

Adobe cautioned that users “are no longer licensed to use certain older versions of the applications or deploy packages containing these older versions.” Adobe went on to warn “if you continue to use or deploy these unauthorized versions of Creative Cloud, you may be at risk of potential claims of infringement by third parties.”

Autodesk has added Open FX (OFX) support to their headline finishing, color correction, and compositing tool. Boris FX has taken advantage of this feature, introducing Sapphire 2019 as an OFX plugin for Flame.
