MacOS Sequoia Users Reporting VPN, Security Incompatibilities

macOS 15 “Sequoia” users are reporting widespread issues with specific VPN clients, firewalls and endpoint detection and response services.

The latest version, released earlier this week, features several changes in its network functionality. Unfortunately, these aren’t compatible with many business-critical security and remote networking services.

Affected services and products include Crowdstrike, SentinelOne, Mullvad VPN and other VPN-related services.

Some IT professionals have found a few workarounds and tweaks to restore capability, but in general, users of these and other services should wait until the reported issues are fixed, either via another macOS update, or once their service providers provide patches for the issue.
