Motion designer and visual effects software studio Maxon has recently announced updates to nearly every application in its Maxon One line of products.
“Updates have been made to nearly every application within the Maxon One product offering including significant upgrades to Cinema 4D R25 and Trapcode Suite 17, the inclusion of the recently acquired Bang muzzle flare generator into VFX Suite 2,” the company announced on its website.
The Fall 2021 product release also includes compatibility upgrades for Apple Metal GPU and Adobe multi-frame rendering.
While Maxon’s update promises a potentially exciting set of new features, the news isn’t all good for users: The company announced that it was discontinuing perpetual licenses of several effects and color grading plugins that were included in its recent acquisition of/merger with Red Giant. Perpetual licenses of Trapcode Suite 16, Magic Bullet Suite 14 and VFX Suite 1.5 are still available for the time being for $999.
